Born from love.
Built from defiance.
Loess was built by three women who loved the outdoors but couldn't find gear that fit, felt good, or reflected who they were. So we built it ourselves — trailwear designed for real women, paired with a community that makes the outdoors feel like it belongs to all of us.
We're not just
climbing peaks.
We're claiming space.
Our community of Summit Seekers shows up in cities across the country — hiking, yoga, paddleboarding, potlucks — moving through the world together. This is what belonging looks like.
Not to Harm
We're taking our time with our first drop so sustainability is baked in from day one. Recycled fibers, honest material labels, and gear built to outlast the trend cycle.
Culture
Our founders are women of color, and we want to see ourselves fully reflected in the outdoors. Every design decision is inspired by our homes: Southeast Asia, West Africa, and the Caribbean.

We build with our community, not just for them — learning from real outdoors experts, women guides, and adventurers in the wild. Their expertise deserves to be championed, not just consulted.
